Senior Front-End Engineer

A U.S.-based company that has developed a beloved platform where users can build and join communities where they can share their interests with like-minded people, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be participating in every stage of the development process, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. The company is on a mission to connect users across the globe with each other and help them interact with each other. The company has managed to secure more than $1.1bn during their Series F round of funding.This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally to implement product and business goals and create cutting-edge goods and features that the users will adore
• Collaborate with product, design, and other technical equivalents
• Review code and design documents, provide input on product specifications and mockups
• Be sure to keep learning and developing both your technical and non-technical skills
• Ensure that efforts are made to enhance millions of users media experiences
• Work on new projects that gamify, engage, and keep new and casual consumers
• Create new things and prosper in uncertainty and failure
• Effectively collaborate with teams in a totally remote setting and have conversations about challenging subjects with both technical and non-technical people
• Help the team to redesign a page on the platform's topics page
• Help to redesign user-facing internationalization content
• Enhance the Web's user experience and make it easier for users to log in

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
• 5+ years of experience working with React and TypeScript
• Prior CSS knowledge and demonstrable familiarity with front-end web frameworks like LIT, Polymer, Vue, or Angular
• Basic knowledge of REST, HTTP, and Thrift
• Nice to have some experience creating and using maintainable APIs
• Work in a highly agile, highly iterative software development process with ease
• Extensive knowledge of best practices, hypothesis-building, and A/B testing
• Possess a strong sense of entrepreneurship
• Be self-motivated, creative, and inclined to take action in hectic situations
• Nice to have some experience with GraphQL
• Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
