A Snapshot of Your Day

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide high-quality legal support on contracts & commercial matters across the MENA Office. The role focuses on the delivery of technically strongly, prompt and pragmatic legal advice, drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements, and support for key projects with our subsidiaries in the region.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, finalization, execution, and renewal of contracts across subsidiaries in the Middle East & Africa (MENA).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts covering areas such as marketing, LPS, Sales, HR, Home Appliances, TV, etc.
  • Advise the business on suitable deal structures and the necessary contractual documentation to support proposed commercial arrangements.
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice to business stakeholders, balancing commercial goals with risk management.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of contract templates and processes.
  • Represent the MENA legal team in internal and external meetings, influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Support the continuous improvement of legal processes and workflows within the team.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices.

What Will You Need

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in-house or combination of law firm and in-house experience.
  • Bar/ License to practice law.
  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience advising on general commercial matters.
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic, with strong attention to detail and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to non-lawyers.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively within a team and autonomously.
