Kasrawy for the Automobile Industry Factory KAI - Industrial Zone October, Giza, Egypt
Key Responsibilities:
▸ Lead end-to-end localization projects for complex automotive sub-systems including powertrain, chassis, body, and electrical assemblies.
▸ Conduct advanced supplier technical audits and assess manufacturing process capability (Cpk/Ppk) for production readiness approval.
▸ Review and approve APQP deliverables including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA studies from suppliers.
▸ Manage PPAP submissions and ensure all required documentation and sample approvals are completed per OEM standards.
▸ Lead cross-functional teams (quality, procurement, production, finance) to drive localization on schedule and budget.
▸ Perform detailed technical benchmarking between OEM CKD parts and local alternatives using dimensional and functional test data.
▸ Develop localization feasibility studies and present cost-savings analyses to senior management.
▸ Mentor and guide junior localization engineers, reviewing work outputs and providing technical direction.
▸ Resolve complex supplier technical issues and implement structured corrective action plans.
▸ Interface with OEM representatives for technical validation and approval of localized parts.
▸ Identify new localization candidates based on technical and commercial feasibility for the department roadmap.
▸ Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering change requests, and documentation packages for management approval.
Job Qualifications:
▸ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (required).
▸ 3–5 years of progressive experience in automotive localization, supplier quality engineering, or product engineering in a CKD/SKD automotive manufacturing environment.
▸ IATF 16949 Lead Auditor; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt; AIAG ▸ APQP/PPAP Practitioner Certification.
▸ Advanced MS Excel (VBA, pivot tables), Power BI for KPI reporting, MS Project, and SharePoint for document management
▸ CAD: CATIA V5/V6 or SolidWorks
▸ Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or SAP)
▸ APQP/PPAP collaboration platforms (Plexus, ETQ, or equivalent)
▸ Advanced analytical and critical thinking
▸ Strong leadership and mentoring capability
▸ Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
▸ Results-driven with high accountability
▸ Strong inter-personal skills for OEM and supplier relationship management.
