Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing execution works, particularly within fit-out and fast-track projects. This role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring quality standards, and managing all MEP works in coordination with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute site work according to approved technical drawings, project specifications, and schedules.
- Well known knowledge of the main concepts and cores of the MEP systems.
- Monitor and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely execution.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams to resolve on-site challenges and design conflicts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily and weekly progress reports.
- Manage and allocate site resources, materials, and manpower effectively.
- Identify project risks, propose solutions, and ensure smooth site execution.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage technical submittals.
- Support the commercial team by providing insights into pricing and value engineering when needed.
- Supervise and coordinate electrical works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and integration with mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical-related issues on-site in collaboration with engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Possess strong knowledge of first fix installations, including containment, cable routing, and infrastructure preparation for MEP systems.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 25 years of relevant experience in MEP works, with a focus on fit-out and fast-track projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Strong experience in HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems and their on-site execution.
- Good understanding of electrical systems is an added advantage.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability in site management, material procurement, and project scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and quality standards.
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Experience in tender pricing and cost awareness
