We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability across on-premise and cloud environments. This role demands a proactive problem solver with deep technical expertise and the ability to lead network-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network performance; implement optimizations to improve speed, reliability, and uptime.
- Conduct regular network audits, perform firmware upgrades, and manage patches across all networking devices.
- Collaborate closely with IT security teams to ensure adherence to security protocols and policies.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for troubleshooting complex network and voice-related issues.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, architectural diagrams, changes, and processes.
- Participate in the development, testing, and execution of disaster recovery plans.
- Assist in the planning, design, and deployment of new networking and voice infrastructure projects.
- Manage and support VoIP systems including SIP configurations, call routing, and voice quality monitoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in networking platforms, particularly Fortinet and Huawei.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills for resolving complex network issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on technical documentation.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or VoIP certifications are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of cloud networking in platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Proficiency in managing firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of network tasks.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and VoIP technologies including Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, or Asterisk.
