Job Purpose
The Procurement Senior Associate – Indirect is responsible for managing sourcing activities, supplier selection, contract administration, and supplier performance monitoring across assigned indirect procurement categories. The role supports the organization in securing reliable service providers and ensuring procurement activities deliver value, efficiency, and compliance with established governance frameworks. By coordinating sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring contract alignment with procurement policies, the role contributes to effective procurement operations, cost optimization, and the reliable delivery of services required to support organizational operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing activities including RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes for assigned procurement categories.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable contractual terms, and optimal total cost of ownership.
- Draft, review, and administer supplier contracts in coordination with internal legal and compliance stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring effective supplier performance management through defined service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor supplier performance, address service delivery issues, and implement corrective actions where required to maintain service standards.
- Perform procurement spend analysis and support cost optimization initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings, efficiency improvements, and value engineering.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within ERP systems, including purchase orders, supplier information, contract records, and spend reporting.
- Ensure procurement activities and supplier engagements comply with established policies, governance frameworks, and approval authorities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and support procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and vendor selection processes.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement practices, sourcing methodologies, and supplier evaluation frameworks.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Professional procurement certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) Level 4 or equivalent is preferred.
- Training or certification in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or procurement platforms is considered an advantage.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing sourcing processes including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations.
- Experience in contract management, supplier performance monitoring, and procurement governance practices.
- Experience working with procurement or ERP systems for purchase order processing, contract documentation, and spend tracking.
- Industry experience within food and beverage, FMCG, retail, supply chain, or similar high-volume operational environments is preferred.
