Job Description

Elsewedy Electric is expanding its Procurement team and seeks two specialized Procurement Senior Engineers:

Procurement Engineer (Electromechanical Focus ): Community Management MEP Procurement Scope (Responsible for sourcing and managing MEP, FM, and technical service contracts, supporting incomplete or partial handovers, and coordinating with facilities and community teams.)

Procurement Engineer (Civil Focus): Responsible for strategic sourcing of civil engineering materials (concrete, steel, asphalt, etc.) and managing civil works subcontractors for our infrastructure projects.

Scope: Procurement for Electromechanical Systems & Equipment AND/OR Civil Works & Materials

Reporting Line: Procurement Senior Manager

Sector Business Line: Community, Facilities (Hard services ) , Infrastructure & Industrial Projects

Job Location: Head Office (New Cairo)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project requirements (drawings, BOQs, technical specifications) for Civil Engineering materials/subcontractors or MEP systems/equipment.
  • Identify, source, and prequalify vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors relevant to your specialization (Civil or MEP).
  • Civil Focus: Concrete, steel, asphalt, earthworks, and civil subcontractors.
  • MEP Focus: Transformers, generators, MV/LV panels, cables, lighting, HVAC, pumps, fire protection systems, and related technical services.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate offers, and participate in technical and commercial assessments in coordination with Engineering and Project teams.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery terms, contract conditions, and warranty terms to ensure cost efficiency while meeting quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with design consultants, site teams, and community/facilities teams to confirm technical adequacy and compliance of procured items and services.
  • Issue and diligently follow up on purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery, proper documentation, and seamless coordination.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of procurement transactions, supplier performance, cost comparisons, and project documentation.
  • Support contract administration, invoice verification, and resolution of procurement-related disputes.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, materials, and market trends relevant to your engineering discipline (Civil or MEP) within the infrastructure, construction, or industrial park sector.
  • Ensure all procurement practices align with project requirements, internal controls, and established quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 4-6 years in Construction/Infrastructure Procurement, with a clear focus on either Civil Engineering OR Electromechanical systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (for Electromechanical role) OR Civil Engineering (for Civil role)
  • Language: Excellent English (written & Spoken).
  • Certification: CIPS or equivalent (preferred).
  • Knowledge: Strong experience in MEP contract management, supplier/contractor supervision, and technical scope enforcement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple MEP vendors and technical packages simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, operational environments.

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • AutoCAD proficiency (strong asset for Electromechanical focus).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent multitasking and deadline management.
