Senior Manager, Procurement (Regional)

To lead regional category strategy while driving a step-change procurement transformation agenda across the region .

This role combines strategic category leadership with ownership of a Procurement Transformation PMO, acting as a key architect of a future-ready, resilient, and digital procurement organization. The position will partner closely with business and supply chain leadership to unlock sustainable value, innovation, and competitive advantage.

1. Regional Category Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead regional category strategies across key spend areas (e.g., Packaging, Insulating Materials, Chemicals, Subcontracting, Contract Manufacturing)
  • Translate global strategies into regionally optimized execution, reflecting regional market dynamics and supply base realities
  • Drive total value creation (cost, innovation, risk, sustainability, speed) across categories
  • Influence product design and sourcing decisions upstream to embed cost competitiveness and supply resilience

2. Procurement Transformation PMO Leadership

  • Establish and lead the Procurement Transformation PMO for the region, ensuring structured execution of strategic initiatives
  • Orchestrate end-to-end transformation programs, including:
  • Plant procurement maturity uplift
  • Process standardization and governance
  • Digital procurement enablement
  • Capability building and organizational effectiveness
  • Define clear KPIs, governance cadence, and execution discipline to ensure delivery of transformation outcomes
  • Act as the central integration point between global initiatives and regional execution

3. Supply Resilience & Ecosystem Strategy

  • Build a resilient and future-proof supplier ecosystem, balancing depth and regional diversification
  • Lead risk mitigation strategies across geopolitical, supply continuity, and capacity constraints
  • Drive strategic footprint development (new suppliers, new locations, dual sourcing models)

4. Strategic Supplier Partnerships & Innovation

  • Elevate supplier management into strategic partnerships and co-innovation platforms
  • Develop key suppliers in advanced manufacturing capabilities, OEM/ODM models, and technology roadmap alignment
  • Lead supplier development programs to enhance competitiveness, quality, and innovation contribution

5. Cost Leadership & Value Engineering

  • Deliver sustainable cost competitiveness through structured productivity programs
  • Implement design-to-cost, should-costing, and value engineering methodologies
  • Build and manage a multi-year productivity pipeline with clear visibility and accountability

6. Performance Management & Governance

  • Drive robust governance on supplier performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation, Sustainability)
  • Establish data-driven performance management systems and dashboards
  • Ensure alignment with Schneider Electric's sustainability and responsible sourcing commitments

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Influence

  • Act as a strategic partner to regional business leaders, influencing key decisions on sourcing, footprint, and supply chain strategy
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across procurement, supply chain, manufacturing
  • Drive change management and cultural transformation within procurement teams

What Will Make You Successful

  • 15+ years of procurement leadership experience, with strong exposure to regional category management and transformation programs
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale procurement or supply chain transformation (Category Management/Operation Procurement /PMO experience preferred)
  • Deep expertise in Asia supply markets, particularly China ecosystem dynamics
  • Strong capability in category strategy, supplier development, and subcontracting or contract manufacturing models
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix, global organization
  • Strong strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and execution discipline
  • High level of leadership presence, resilience, and change management capability
  • Strong in influencing and convincing, communication and negotiation skills
  • Be Agile and Resilient with past experiences in dealing with difficult situations and supply crisis preferred.
