The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing intricate IT projects through their entire lifecycle, from initiation through to successful completion. This position is vital in ensuring project objectives are met within defined timelines, scopes, and budgets. The Senior Project Manager is expected to facilitate project planning sessions to clearly outline project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines while developing comprehensive project plans integrating resource allocation and risk management strategies. The successful candidate will monitor project performance, ensuring strict adherence to project milestones and deliverables, while fostering effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and clients. Additionally, this role will require proactive risk assessment and the formulation of mitigation strategies, conducting regular project status meetings, and preparing detailed reports for stakeholders. A key component of this managerial position is mentoring project team members and driving a culture of accountability and excellence in project execution. The individual in this role will also be responsible for implementing best practices and innovative methodologies to continuously enhance project management processes within the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in managing complex IT projects with a history of successful completions.
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities, capable of juggling multiple simultaneous projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management software such as MS Project and JIRA.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, empowering the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of budgeting, financial management principles, and cost control mechanisms.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Information Systems (BIS), or a related discipline.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) considered a strong advantage.
  • Relevant training in Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communicative capacity; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive project planning sessions to define detailed project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignments with organizational strategy.
  • Develop extensive project plans that effectively allocate resources and incorporate strategic risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, ensuring compliance with established plans, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels among project stakeholders, team members, and clients to ensure alignment and engagement.
  • Administer project budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation, cost control, and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Identify potential project risks early and develop robust mitigation strategies to address them proactively to minimize project disruptions.
  • Schedule and conduct regular project status meetings, providing clear insights into project progress through detailed status reports for stakeholders.
  • Mentor, guide, and empower project team members, cultivating an environment that encourages high performance and accountability.
  • Implement and advocate for best practices and methodologies to improve organizational efficiency in project management.
