Design and analyze structural systems for residential construction projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
Review and approve structural calculations, shop drawings, and technical submittals prepared by consultants and contractors.
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure structural designs are integrated seamlessly into overall project plans.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to address structural issues during construction phases.
Assess and recommend modifications to designs based on value engineering principles while maintaining structural integrity and cost efficiency.
Prepare and review project documentation, including material specifications, method statements, and progress reports.
Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to structural requirements, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural engineering practices, materials, and technologies.
Assist in preparing budgets and schedules related to structural engineering activities and provide input during the tendering phase.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all structural engineering activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering; a master's degree is a plus.
8–10 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in residential construction projects.
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as CSI Package (ETABS- SAFE- SAP2000)
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with site supervision and technical coordination is an advantage.
