This role is responsible for executing end-to-end testing activities to ensure the quality, accuracy, and stability of Merchant Acquiring solutions, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and Digital Onboarding platforms. The role focuses on preparing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with technical and business teams to ensure issues are resolved prior to production deployment.
The role supports timely test cycle execution, defect management, and interface certification to ensure zero critical defects before go-live in a complex, integrated environment.
Responsibilities
- To prepare and execute detailed test scripts based on requirements, validate the end results and document the defects identified during the testing cycle
- To test system behavior and validate against expected behavior through the execution of positive, negative and regression test cases, and will document the end results in the defects tracker
- To identify field/format/value errors during System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing cycles and drive resolution through the Technical Teams
- To work closely with the Test Lead, technical teams, other internal and external teams to ascertain testing requirements
- To report and escalate issues wherever necessary to get timely closure of raised defects and achieve interface certification
- To ensure compilation and documentation of test results with history and version maintenance of issue logs and defect tracker
- Monitoring of defects and coordination with relevant teams for driving resolutions as per the severity levels
- Test cycle execution within agreed timelines and as per test plan
- To ensure Zero errors prior to implementation of batch and online interfaces in production
Qualifications
- Education : University Degree.
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in Testing Acquiring solutions, POS , Digital onboarding is a plus.
- Must have experience in Systems Integration Testing of Web services and XML interfaces using tools such as SOAPUI, POSTMAN, etc.
- Solid engineering background with experience in Java
- Excellent knowledge on testing concepts and practices
- Experience with testing tools like Jenkins, Selenium, Page Objects
- Knowledge of Agile techniques (TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
- Knowledge about Load, Performance, Usability and Security testing
- Experience on test data creation and management
- Knowledge of Gherkin language or similar and BDD
- Experience with microservices and distributed system
