We are seeking a highly capable Logistics/Civil Engineer to manage and coordinate site logistics and access across multiple contractors on large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in construction sequencing, workfront planning, and the ability to proactively resolve logistics challenges on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve Contractor's Construction Logistics Plans (CLP), including site access strategies and access control procedures
- Establish and monitor site access processes, including:
- Entry and exit protocols
- Permit-to-access systems
- Vehicle scheduling and gate management
- Oversee the implementation of approved logistics strategies on-site
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders on:
- Site access and haul routes
- Road closures and traffic diversions
- Laydown areas and material storage
- Ensure efficient planning and utilization of:
- Laydown areas
- Staging zones
- Logistics corridors
- Review and approve Traffic Management Plans (TMP)
- Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks such as delays, congestion, and contractor interface conflicts
- Manage interfaces across multiple contractors and active work zones
- Track logistics performance and report risks, issues, and non-compliance to the Resident Engineer
- Provide input on construction sequencing to optimize logistics and site operations
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 8–12 years of total experience in construction
- Minimum 5 years in site logistics coordination on infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, or similar)
- Experience in consultancy/supervision roles is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Site access planning
- Construction sequencing
- Workfront coordination
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple contractors simultaneously
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced site environment
- Experience in large-scale / multi-contractor projects in UAE
