1. Job Purpose:
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring that work is carried out according to project specifications, safety standards, and approved drawings. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, inspecting site progress, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient progress.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation for management.
- Ensure all works comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Inspect workmanship, materials, and quality of work to ensure conformity with project requirements.
- Identify and resolve site issues, technical challenges, or conflicts in coordination with engineers and consultants.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material usage on site.
- Assist in preparing method statements, material submittals, and project documentation when required.
- Attend site meetings and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Ensure timely execution of tasks to meet project deadlines and milestones.
2. Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 25 years of experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry (preferably in building or infrastructure projects).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and site management tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
