We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health team at Healthpoint. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients presenting with a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. The role involves delivering evidence-based care through pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessment of mental, emotional, behavioral, and
- cognitive disorders.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions in accordance with international best practices and
- evidence-based guidelines.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Manage outpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up care.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to provide integrated
- patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and clinical records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and mental health management.
- Adhere to all Healthpoint, M42, DOH, and regulatory standards and policies.
Qualifications
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.
- Completion of a recognized residency training program in Psychiatry.
- Specialty qualification in Psychiatry recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-specialty qualification experience in Psychiatry.
- DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Specialist Psychiatry.
- Experience in the assessment and management of common psychiatric disorders across outpatient and inpatient
- settings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
