Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Custody and Market Operations specialist to join our operations/custody team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth functioning of our custody services and market operations, helping to safeguard our clients digital assets and facilitate efficient market transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Custody Operations:
- Assist in the management and maintenance of digital asset custody solutions.
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of client assets, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Monitor and reconcile custody accounts daily to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of custody procedures and controls.
- Identifying/forecasting wallet movements and top-up requirements and withdrawals
- Ensuring that client deposits and withdrawals are settled, exceptions are investigated and resolved in a timely manner
- Monitoring and adjusting ratios between warm and cold wallets, exposures and credit lines with liquidity providers
- Resolving breaks and reconciliations
- Monitoring and handling asset recoveries
Market Operations
- Assist in executing and monitoring market transactions, ensuring timely and accurate trade settlements.
- Monitor market conditions and report any irregularities or potential issues to team leads.
- Support the development and improvement of trading and operational systems.
- OTC transactions and workflow
- Identifying new LPs & onboarding
- Identifying new tokens for listing
- Identifying new custodians and implementing new custodial solutions
Compliance And Risk Management
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to custody and market operations.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating operational risks.
- Participate in firm wide audits and implement any necessary changes or improvements.
Client Support
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to custody and market operations.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and ensuring they understand our custody and trading processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Market Ops and Custody
- Strong interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and financial markets.
- Basic understanding of digital asset custody and trading operations is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Work experience in finance, operations, or related fields.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency exchanges and digital asset wallets.
- Basic knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the crypto space.
