About the Role:
Support the design, detailing, and visualization of drywall, suspended ceilings, cladding, faades, and roof assemblies. The ideal candidate will focus on providing technical proposals, including thermal insulation (U-Value) and acoustic performance (Rw/STC), translating design concepts into detailed technical solutions and high-quality visual presentations.
Location: New Cairo - Sodic East Town
Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide technical proposals for drywall, ceilings, cladding, faades, and roof assemblies
- Perform U-Value calculations and optimize thermal performance for walls, floors, and roofs based on material layers
- Ensure compliance with acoustic performance requirements (Rw/STC) and apply appropriate sound insulation strategies
- Select and apply suitable insulation materials such as Rockwool, Glass Wool, PIR, EPS, and XPS
- Implement thermal bridge reduction techniques including thermal breaks, insulated cavities, and service voids
- Apply acoustic design fundamentals for sound insulation, absorption, and vibration control
- Develop and apply acoustic solutions including double-layer plasterboard, resilient channels, isolated framing systems, and insulation
- Produce accurate and detailed wall sections and envelope designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Create high-quality 3D visualizations and renders (V-Ray preferred) for presentations and design reviews
- Prepare realistic material textures, lighting setups, and interior/exterior renders to communicate design intent
- Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and project managers to ensure coordinated solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience preferably in Building materials.
- Strong knowledge of drywall, ceilings, cladding, and faade detailing is preferable.
- Proficient in thermal performance (U-Value) calculations and acoustic design principles.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and V-Ray for visualization.
