Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Structural Engineer with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, analysis, planning, design, modelling and construction support for landscape projects.

The role will be responsible for interacting with a multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams to deliver a number of post contract landscape projects under the direct guidance of senior staff.

Primary Activities:

  • Provide structural engineering design to assigned projects, perform technical analysis (structural and stress analysis) to ensure the safety and sustainability of design structures.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, models, and technical specifications/documentation packs for construction contract tendering.
  • Provide construction support for allocated landscape design project(s) as per applicable standards, technical codes and project brief and specifications.
  • Visit construction sites to review shop drawings, carry out technical, H&S and quality inspections as needed to ensure construction works are executed as per design, technical, quality and safety specifications.

Technical Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of technical local and international codes, HSE requirements, QA/QC and ISO standards applicable to structural engineering design.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects of varying complexity, size & value.
  • Good understanding of related design, engineering and construction disciplines including materials, equipment and technologies relevant to landscape design and construction projects surveying techniques.
  • Ability to review work performed by other design, engineering and support disciplines including design drawings, technical specification, computations, quantities, costs, and constructability.
  • Demonstrate excellent software skills in AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS, BIM/REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and latest relevant design and engineering technologies.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A member of Structural Engineers Institute.
  • Accreditation with DM, DDA, Trakhees is an added advantage.
  • 5+ years experience.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
