For our own projects, we are looking for Subcontract Engineer :
Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing subcontracting and procurement activities for EPCI offshore oil and gas projects. The role covers the full subcontract lifecyclefrom procurement and tendering through execution and close-outensuring subcontractors deliver offshore construction and installation scopes in compliance with contractual, technical, HSE, quality, schedule, and cost requirements. The position requires strong experience in offshore projects such as jackets, sealine installation, offshore pipelines, and associated marine activities.
Key Responsibilities
Subcontracting & Procurement
- Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies in coordination with project management, engineering, construction, and supply chain teams.
- Prepare subcontract scopes of work, technical specifications, BOQs, commercial terms, and bid packages for offshore construction and installation activities.
- Manage prequalification, tendering, bid clarification, technical and commercial evaluation, and recommendations for award.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontracts in line with EPCI contract requirements and company procedures.
Offshore Project Execution
- Manage subcontractors involved in offshore works including jackets fabrication and installation, sealine and pipeline installation, subsea works, and marine spread activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, offshore construction, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure subcontractor compliance with project requirements
- Monitor subcontractor performance with respect to schedule, cost, quality, and offshore HSE standards.
- Review subcontractor deliverables, method statements, procedures, schedules, progress reports, and invoices.
Cost Control & Change Management
- Control subcontract budgets, commitments, and cost forecasts.
- Evaluate variations, change orders, and subcontractor claims in coordination with project controls and commercial teams.
- Support subcontract final accounts, close-out, and performance evaluation.
HSE & Quality Management
- Ensure subcontractors comply with offshore HSE requirements, marine safety regulations, and company HSE management systems.
- Support offshore audits, inspections, and HAZID/HAZOP and SIMOPS activities related to subcontractor scopes.
- Ensure compliance with project quality plans, ITPs, and client requirements.
Interface & Reporting
- Act as the primary interface between the company and offshore subcontractors.
- Participate in project, procurement, and offshore coordination meetings.
- Prepare regular subcontract status, procurement, cost, and risk reports for management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or related discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in subcontract engineering and procurement within EPCI Offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven experience managing offshore construction subcontracts for:
-Jackets (fabrication, load-out, transportation & installation)
-Sealine and offshore pipeline installation
-Subsea and marine construction activities
- Strong experience in procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Sound knowledge of offshore installation practices, marine spreads, and EPCI project execution.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract forms
