Key responsibilities:
As supply manager, you have 3 key responsibilities.
1. Strategic Planning & Procurement & Logistics & Organisation
Develop and implement strong supply chain strategy that prioritize production
capacity utilization, cost-efficiency and product quality. You will need to work with
and learn from our operation team what that means in terms of raw material etc.
Market knowledge of all raw material suppliers and their capacity as well as quality
and build long-term relationships with vendors to ensure supply chain resilience
during market volatility.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices without
sacrificing quality.
Manage the logistics of moving goods through various channels (shipping, trucking,
air freight) to make it efficient as well as cost saving.
Build a strong organisation to become experts in procurement and logistics
2. Data Analysis & Optimization
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like order cycle time, freight costs, and
inventory turnover as well as quality of raw material from suppliers.
Use data to predict future demand and what quality is being supplied from each
supplier to build and adjust the supply chain accordingly.
3. Risk Management
Identify potential choke points in the supply chain (e.g., geopolitical issues,
weather, truck driver issues, port strikes, supplier maintenance shut down or other
supplier disturbances) and develop contingency plans.
Qualifications & experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply chain mgm or Engineering or related field; advanced
degree preferred.
Proven senior leadership experience (supply chain, procurement,
logistics); ideally in industrial production companies.
10 yrs+ professional work experience and 5yrs + track record of relevant jobs and
proven success in developing his/her career and departments.
Excellent spoken and written English
Industry certification is a plus e.g. six sigma, CSCP etc...
