About The Job Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Technical Survey Manager to lead our surveying operations across multiple
high-rise building and
tunneling projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in
engineering and geodetic surveys, including
control network planning, adjustment, and least-squares network calculations. You will be responsible for supervising technical teams, ensuring high-accuracy deliverables, and managing complex site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the technical survey team on high-rise and tunneling sites across the UAE.
- Plan, execute, and validate control networks, traverse adjustments, and network calculations using least-squares methods.
- Establish and maintain accurate horizontal and vertical control networks for all phases of construction.
- Perform geodetic computations, coordinate transformations, and integrity checks on survey data.
- Coordinate with construction, instrumentation, and monitoring teams to ensure alignment of survey works with project timelines and requirements.
- Review and validate survey data, drawings, reports, and layouts before submission.
- Maintain survey accuracy and quality across all phases – pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure survey deliverables meet contractual and regulatory standards.
- Manage survey equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, digital levels, laser scanners), including procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior surveyors and technicians.
Requirements
8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in the UAE or GCC.
UAE driving license preferred.
Required Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in
network design,
adjustment of control networks, and
use of least-squares adjustment software (e.g., STAR*NET, Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity).
Proven experience in
high-rise vertical alignment,
raft/top-down construction monitoring, and
tunneling deformation surveys (NATM, TBM, micro tunneling).
Expertise with survey instruments (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, CHCNAV) and CAD/survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, TBC, etc.).
Familiarity with Dubai and Abu Dhabi authority survey standards (DM, ADM, RTA, etc.).
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
