Main Purpose:
To oversee and manage quantity takeoff, variation orders, and technical documentation while ensuring drawings, calculations, and reports comply with engineering standards, project requirements, and company quality objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Quantity Takeoff: Preparing and calculating the required quantities for various materials and items (BOQ) and verifying the accuracy of quantities in tender documents.
- Managing Variation Orders: Preparing and following up on change orders (Variation Orders) and documenting modifications to the scope of work or quantities.
- Coordinating with Different Teams: Working closely with design, execution, and project management teams to ensure that drawings and quantities align with actual site requirements.
- Reviewing Drawings: Reviewing drawings submitted by Designers, contractors and suppliers to ensure they comply with technical specifications and project requirements.
- Modifying Drawings: Making necessary adjustments to drawings based on site changes or feedback from engineering consultants.
- Ensuring Quality and Compliance with Standards: Ensuring that all drawings and quantity calculations comply with company standards, approved engineering codes, and project specifications.
- Preparing Technical Reports: Preparing periodic technical reports and documenting all changes and updates related to the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in the field of technical office
- Proficiency in using engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs like Excel. Knowledge of other programs such as Revit or Navisworks is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and construction codes.
