Job Description

Seddiqi Holding is a Family-owned and managed company with a unique, diversified portfolio of businesses and brands across numerous sectors. The business includes Ahmed Seddiqi, Seddiqi Properties, Swiss Watch Services and Mizzen.

We are looking for a Technical Watch Trainer to develop the next generation of watch technicians working in one of our key business units, Swiss Watch Services. You will be responsible for providing training and support for the apprentices following the WOSTEP 1,800 hour course in our brand new training center. You will also work alongside our Head of Technical and the General Manager to deliver training for our in-house technicians to continually improve and update technical skills within our workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training for apprentices following the provided program to deliver competent aftersales service technicians.
  • Maintain annual training calendar, lesson plans, accurate training records and training media.
  • Ensure that your knowledge of the brands we support is always up to date and that you are fully conversant with all the most up-to-date servicing techniques and information.
  • Technical support for both workshops & customer service.
  • Be the main training contact between SWS and the watch brands we work with.
  • Update and maintain personal development plans with the internal Workshop Managers and Head of Technical to support and grow our internal technicians.
  • Keep close contact with the different schools around the world workshops in neighboring markets.
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to the appropriate HSE regulations for the area they are working in and governed by.

In order to be successful in this role, you should ideally have:

  • At least 8 to 10 years after sales service experience working on a wide variety of luxury watches.
  • Watchmaking diploma and/or training certificates from principals.
  • Knowledge on ETA / Sellita calibers.
  • Ideally have experience using Access, Adobe, Excel, PowerBI, Power Point and Word.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Experience in technical watch training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
