Tender engineer

Role Description
The Tender Engineer role at KB Architects is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The Tender Engineer is responsible for preparing and coordinating tender proposals, including collecting and analyzing project requirements, drawings, and specifications. Daily tasks include estimating costs, preparing bills of quantities, coordinating with design, engineering, and procurement teams, and ensuring timely submission of tender documents. The role involves reviewing client inquiries, clarifying technical and commercial requirements, and supporting negotiations with stakeholders. The Tender Engineer also contributes to continuous improvement of tender processes and documentation standards.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and preparation of bills of quantities for construction and architectural projects.
• Ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and technical documents, and translate them into accurate tender and proposal documentation.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Office (Excel, Word), and common estimation or tendering software; familiarity with CAD tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, with an understanding of local regulations and tender procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; previous experience in tendering, contracting, or project estimation is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a professional, inclusive manner.
