Job Overview

As a Trader – Global Equity and Derivatives at Emirates NBD, your role is to manage global equities, regional equities and derivatives flows on the desk. This is essentially a call & trade desk, where clients call in for real-time trade execution. Trading desk operates for 20 hrs and covers clients across the bank be it individuals, companies, external asset managers, institutions, or family office.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all market orders promptly and accurately, an experienced trader thus manages customer sensitivity, market sensitivity, and operational sensitivity all at the same time.
• Brings along experience in global markets, keeps a keen eye on current events, and is able to have knowledgeable conversations with clients.brings along experience in global markets, keeps a keen eye on current events, and is able to have knowledgeable conversations with clients.
• Ability to study market dept in order to work on bulk and complex transactions, having a sound understanding of market jargons.
• Handle client calls and executing market orders in equities, futures and options.
• Manage buy and sell orders received over phone / OMS & EMSX
• Ensure best execution of all orders, choosing appropriate algo based on order size and market liquidity.
• Maintain balances for buy vs sell.
• Client MTM and margin call monitoring
• Adhere to market operating hours.
• Flexibility to work in evening shift US Markets is important. Adaptability to work and support across shifts when required.
• Professionalism in managing clients and ensuring operational efficiency in tasks.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree education
• Master's in finance/ commerce/ economics/accounting preferred
• Professional certifications like CISI/ SCA preferred
• At least 10 – 15 yrs experiences in the financial services industry, with last 5-10 yrs on an active trading desk with a broker or bank covering US Markets and derivatives
• experience of Execution platforms and knowledge of the various global exchanges
• Technical knowledge on Bloomberg, EMSX, OMS systems, Trading platforms
• Technical knowledge of Local and International Equity Markets & listed global Derivatives
