Job Description

Senior UI/UX Designer (12-Month Contract)

Department: Business Excellence

Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)

Role Purpose:

We are seeking two experienced Senior UI/UX Designers to join a dynamic digital transformation team. The successful candidates will lead design and user experience initiatives across key digital platforms, including corporate websites, customer and partner portals, and mobile applications.

This role is critical in creating intuitive, visually engaging, and user-centred interfaces that enhance engagement and support strategic business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless, high-quality user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

1. User-Centric UI/UX Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end design processes across web, portal, and mobile platforms from discovery and concept through to implementation.
  • Develop user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate concepts and solutions.
  • Conduct user research to gain insight into user behaviours, needs, and motivations.
  • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces aligned with brand standards.

2. User Research & Usability Testing

  • Plan and execute usability testing and gather feedback to continuously refine user experience.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to define personas, journeys, and use cases.
  • Iterate on existing features to deliver seamless, industry-leading digital experiences.

3. Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • Partner with IT, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
  • Work alongside third-party vendors and consultants during development and delivery phases.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders, gather feedback, and incorporate improvements.
  • Act as a bridge between Customer Experience, IT, and Marketing functions.

4. Platform Consistency & Integration

  • Maintain a consistent design language and unified user experience across all digital platforms.
  • Develop and maintain UI guidelines, pattern libraries, and style guides.
  • Design interfaces that integrate effectively with enterprise systems such as CRM and ERP platforms to ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience.

5. Performance & Optimisation

  • Define KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital features and user engagement.
  • Analyse user data and conduct A/B testing to optimise user journeys and functionality.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and UI/UX best practices.
  • Promote a design-thinking culture focused on innovation, usability, and customer-centricity.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Management, or related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience delivering digital products within cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum 3 years in a Senior UI/UX role with proven experience designing portals, websites, and mobile applications.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience integrating with CRM and ERP systems is highly advantageous.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design process and successful digital product delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers or leading design initiatives is a plus.
