Role Overview
The Video Editor will independently handle photo and video shoots for corporate, event, and documentary projects. This role requires strong production leadership, client coordination, and the ability to deliver high-quality visual content with minimal revisions.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Shooting
- Lead and execute photo and video shoots for corporate, event, and documentary projects
- Handle lighting, framing, audio supervision, and shot planning
- Manage second shooters or freelance crew when required
- Ensure all footage is properly backed up, organized, and handed over after shoots
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit assigned reels, corporate videos, and documentaries
- Use AI tools for faster editing, subtitling, and workflow efficiency
- Maintain proper file naming and folder structure
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines and revision limits
Client Coordination
- Participate in pre-production calls and clarify project requirements
- Share pre-shoot confirmations and ensure alignment before editing starts
- Act as the main point of contact with clients during shoots
- Handle minor client concerns independently and escalate only critical issues
Production Systems & Equipment
- Maintain camera and gear inventory
- Ensure proper booking, check-in/check-out, and equipment availability
- Follow same-day data backup procedures
- Prevent shoot delays due to gear or system issues
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or a related field (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with professional cameras and cinematic lighting
- Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve)
- Good understanding of audio recording and supervision
- Familiarity with AI-based editing tools
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years in cinematic shooting and production leadership
