Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, compiling financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and maintaining financial records. Key tasks include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing budgets, and assisting with audits. The role will also involve liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Accounting Principles
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills with experience in Auditing
- Knowledge of Taxation, Compliance, and Regulatory standards
- Familiarity with Accounting Software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho, or similar tools)
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy under tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
- Prior relevant experience in accounting or finance roles. Experience in the fashion or retail industry is a plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented with high integrity
Key Responsibilites:
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries and book-keeping
- Handle multi-store sales reconciliation (POS vs system vs bank)
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting and stock valuation
- Monitor and reconcile supplier & vendor accounts
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure UAE tax compliance
- Oversee bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Support monthly closing, P&L, and financial reporting
- Coordinate with operations and store teams for financial controls
- Assist in budgeting and cost control analysis
Preferred:
- Experience in multi-branch retail environment
- Experience handling vendor payments & LC / imports (if applicable)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
