JOB OVERVIEW
An Analyst for the Asset Management department is an experienced individual who will undertake financial research and report on prospective investment avenues. The job entails performing analyses in support of the operating performance of assets, and providing assistance with budgeting/re-forecasting, financial analysis.
A resourceful candidate will research, create financial models, and produce analytical reports and recommendations.
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Perform independent investment research on assigned areas
- Extensively utilize sophisticated analytical tools and applications to support the investment management process
- Keep abreast with financial press and new trends and opportunities as well as a potential risk
- Create reports and presentations for senior management
- Maintain up to date documentations of all investment proposals
- Establish complex financial and valuation models
- Present financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for investment decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular portfolio managers reviews
- Evaluate past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and investment recommendations
- Study and interpret data and making comparative analysis
- Assess financial statements and develop investment thesis
- Present fundamental credit and financial analysis and create financial models
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Implement fundamental credit and financial analysis and create financial model
Position Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Technical Competencies
- Strong numeric skills
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Superb investment analysis software user
- Proficiency in excel and excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
- Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics, and economics

- Basic understanding of financial concepts and markets
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic
- Willingness to learn and develop in risk management

Work Experience
- 0–2 years of experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
- Internship experience in finance, risk, or banking is an advantage
