ABOUT THE ROLE / ROLE OVERVIEW
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sponsorship and exhibition revenue for events and conferences by securing new business, managing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The role involves market analysis, deal negotiation, and close collaboration with internal and external teams to deliver value for sponsors and support organizational growth within the Saudi market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategies to secure sponsorships and exhibition sales for events and conferences.
- Identify potential sponsors and exhibitors across different industries.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop long-term partnerships with key clients by understanding their business needs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for sponsors and exhibitors throughout the event cycle.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
- Understand the local and regional market in Saudi Arabia, including key industries and sectors.
- Develop targeted approaches for industries such as energy, technology, healthcare, and real estate.
- Collaborate with the PM/RD and marketing teams to ensure sponsors and exhibitors receive value.
- Contribute to the design of sponsorship packages and exhibitor layouts.
- Ensure that deliverables for sponsors are executed according to agreements.
- Identify untapped markets and expand the client base.
- Develop innovative sponsorship and exhibition opportunities to increase revenue.
- Work with senior management to align business development goals with organizational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Education / Qualification
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience
- Proven track record in sales or business development, particularly in events - exhibitions.
- Experience in the Middle East market, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication skills (Arabic and English).
