The Team
A&M Debt Advisory supports Private Equity and Corporate clients through the economic cycle, providing high value-add advice on debt raising, capital structure optimisation and navigating challenging situations. Our deep relationships across the lender community enable clients to access a broad range of liquidity pools.
Our team includes highly respected ex-bankers and advisors with many years of expertise across the credit spectrum, working both with experienced borrowers and those approaching the debt markets for the first time. Members of the team have worked on transactions across all different types of borrowing instruments in both the private and public capital markets. Advice extends from optimising capital structures and reviewing financing options through to planning and execution including identifying potential lenders and investors, presenting the credit story and negotiating optimal terms for clients.
How You Will Contribute
As a result of our growth, our Middle East team is expanding, and we are looking for talented and ambitious individuals at an Associate Director and Director level with an advisory or banking background to join our growing team.
Typical projects will include:
- Supporting Sovereign wealth funds, Private Equity, Family offices and corporate clients in funding acquisitions, refinancings and recapitalisations
- Reviewing refinancing options to support growth strategies
- Advising on optimal capital structures
- Providing assistance on refinancing and restructuring existing debt facilities
- Assisting borrowers to manage their lenders in stressed situations, and
- Carrying out financial modelling, including analysing business forecasts, scenario analysis and covenant sensitivities.
Qualifications
We would expect the successful candidate to bring:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in Middle East debt markets, gained within debt advisory, leveraged finance, project finance, structured finance, or corporate / investment banking roles;
- A strong academic record, including a bachelor's degree (or equivalent or higher qualification) from a top-tier accredited university in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline;
- Strong quantitative and analytical work, including integrated financial modelling, credit analysis, and transaction structuring, with an understanding of the impact on enterprise value, leverage, and equity returns;
- Demonstrated skills in project finance modelling (base case, sensitivities, DSCR / LLCR analysis)
- Experience working on limited- or non-recourse financings, including exposure to infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, or PPP-style transactions; knowledge and experience with corporate debt in Middle East
- A strong desire to continue developing professionally in a high-performance, meritocratic environment;
- Proven ability to manage and drive workstreams independently, with the confidence to engage directly with senior internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors, lenders, advisors, and government counterparties;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively across diverse and complex stakeholder groups; and
- Fluency in business-level English is essential; additional language capabilities, including Arabic, are an advantage.
