Job Description

Projects Lawyers - Secondment Opportunties

As our demand continues to grows, we are looking to add several project finance and projects lawyers to our team over the coming months, across multiple levels of seniority and across the GCC. We are particularly interested in lawyers with strong experience across the full lifecycle of project development and financing, ideally within energy and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading or supporting front-end project work streams, from bid stage through to contractual and/or financial close.
  • Advising across the full lifecycle of project finance transactions, including development, structuring, financial close, and post-close support
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of finance and project documentation, including
  • Facility agreements, security packages, direct agreements, and intercreditor arrangements
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating key project agreements, including power/offtake, shareholders and joint venture agreements, land/lease/usufruct arrangements, connection and interface agreements, and EPC, O&M, and key supply contracts.
  • Acting as CP lead, managing conditions precedent processes, coordinating stakeholders, and driving transactions through to close
  • Supporting sponsors, lenders, and investors on structuring, risk allocation, and bankability.
  • Working closely with BD, project finance, technical, and commercial teams, as well as external counsel, to maintain timelines and manage risk.
  • Providing practical, commercially focused in-house legal support on project execution matters.

About You

  • Qualified in a common law or other recognised international jurisdiction
  • Typically 8+ years PQE (flexible depending on experience and role)
  • Experience gained in private practice and/or in-house environments
  • Strong exposure to project finance and/or project development work in energy or infrastructure
  • Commercial, pragmatic, and comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team
  • A consultant mindset, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders
