JMG is seeking a Design Engineer responsible for the design and development of electrical panel boards, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings and technical submittals for client approval.
- Develop bills of materials for electrical panels and components in line with project budgets and quality standards.
- Modify and improve existing control panel designs.
- Perform three-phase electrical power calculations, including short-circuit and discrimination studies.
- Utilize AutoCAD and OEM design software to prepare wiring diagrams and system layouts.
- Maintain and enhance existing designs to support manufacturing, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Coordinate with Production and other engineering teams, and collaborate with suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Work closely with Commissioning and Quality teams to test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Provide engineering support to field engineers on-site when required.
- Participate in project design meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in LV system design and panel board manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English and French.
