Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Management

Lead the full tendering cycle for Electrical projects, etc.

Review tender documents, technical specifications, and project requirements to define scope and deliverables.

Develop clear tender strategies and ensure alignment with commercial, technical, and financial objectives.

Conduct site visits, pre‑bid meetings, and technical discussions with clients, consultants, & Other Stakeholders.

2. Technical & Commercial Proposal Development

Prepare detailed technical proposals, compliance statements, system designs, and clarifications.

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Cost Control teams to gather accurate inputs.

Create complete mechanical BOQs, material lists, and cost breakdowns.

Finalize Technical & Commercial offers, including pricing, exclusions, alternatives, and value engineering options.

3. Cost Estimation & Vendor Coordination

Develop precise mechanical cost estimates covering materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and indirect costs.

Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Build strong vendor networks and maintain updated price databases for mechanical equipment and systems.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose optimised technical solutions.

4. Risk Analysis & Value Engineering

Assess technical, commercial, and contractual risks associated with the tendering manager.

Recommend mitigation strategies and competitive engineering alternatives.

Support management in decision‑making related to bid/no‑bid evaluation.

5. Documentation & Submission

Ensure all tender documents (technical + commercial) are complete, accurate, and aligned with client formats and requirements.

Manage timelines to guarantee punctual submission of all bid components.

Maintain proper documentation, templates, and historical cost data for future tenders.

6. Post‑Tender Activities

Provide support during contract award and handover to the project execution team.

Analyze bid performance to enhance future pricing strategies and success rates.

ualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in tendering, proposals, or estimation within mechanical, MEP, industrial, or EPC projects.

  • Advanced knowledge of project cost structures, engineering standards, and tendering procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and tendering/estimating software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale tenders under tight deadlines.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in EPC or large industrial/Electrical projects.
  • Strong vendor & subcontractor network in mechanical equipment and packages.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, costing tools, and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
