Hamleys Entertainer:
The Entertainer is the heart of the store's magic. At Hamleys, this is not a traditional retail role — you are a performer on the shop floor. You will bring products to life through high-energy demonstrations, live performances, and exceptional guest engagement.
Your goal is to create a fun, immersive environment that turns every store visit into a memorable experience for children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Live Performances & Demonstrations: Deliver high-energy toy demonstrations combined with performance skills such as magic tricks, juggling, storytelling, or character play to capture attention and drive sales.
- Guest Engagement & Showmanship: Actively engage guests through personality, humour, and stage presence — greeting, entertaining, and creating memorable moments throughout the store.
- In-Store Entertainment & Activations: Support and perform in themed events, seasonal campaigns, birthday parties, and store activations, bringing energy and theatre to the retail environment.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Be the face of the store — energetic, confident, and expressive — ensuring every guest experiences the unique magic of Hamleys.
- Team Support & Training: Share performance techniques and product knowledge with team members, supporting new joiners in building confidence on the shop floor.
- Store Standards: Maintain clean, organised, and fully stocked demonstration areas, always ready to perform.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1–2 years performing arts, theatre, entertainment, retail, or childcare.
- Passion: A genuine love for toys, play, and creating happy memories for others.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
