Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team for multiple projects coming in the next several months. The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld components in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to precise specifications using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding processes.
- Prepare joints, fit parts, and perform finishing operations to meet project tolerances and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols; select appropriate welding procedures and filler materials.
- Perform hardfacing applications for mining and crushing equipment to extend component life and improve performance.
- Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and surface quality; document welds and report any non-conformances.
- Operate basic fabrication equipment and support inventory management of materials and consumables.
- Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder with proficiency across steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Strong MIG, TIG, and ARC welding skills; successful hardfacing experience for mining/crushing equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols; strong measurement and fit-up skills.
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards relevant to fabrication and maintenance projects.
- Good problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with portable machining and basic fabrication equipment operation.
- Previous work in mining or heavy equipment maintenance environments.
