What you'll do
- Day-to-Day Maintenance:
- Oversee the daily maintenance activities of dark stores, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and operational.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Vendor Liaison:
- Collaborate with vendors for maintenance, repair, and improvement works in dark stores.
- Negotiate contracts, coordinate service schedules, and ensure vendors meet performance standards.
- Launch Preparation:
- Work closely with the launch team to ensure dark stores are fully prepared for launch.
- Coordinate facility setup, equipment installation, and other necessary preparations.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Address and resolve unexpected issues that may arise in dark stores promptly.
- Manage and prioritize ad-hoc tasks to maintain the smooth operation of facilities.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure dark stores comply with safety regulations and internal standards.
- Implement and enforce procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget.
- Monitor expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a retail or distribution center environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
