About the Role:
ACWA Power is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead their accounting and treasury operations in Egypt. This is a hands-on role where the candidate will actively manage day-to-day financial operations, including reporting, cash flow management, taxes, and internal controls, while also providing leadership and supervision for finance teams.
Due to operational nature of the role, strong practical expertise is required with performance and execution as a key, not just strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial closings, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity and forecasting future financial needs.
- Oversee payments and receipts for the company and holding entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS / International Financial Reporting Standards, specifically IFRS 9, 12, and 16.
- Manage tax obligations including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding taxes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and support internal audit processes.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, shareholders, and external partners.
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, accounting and auditing, ideally in a hands-on operational role within the energy, oil & gas, construction or similar sectors. Previous experience within the Big Four experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, 12, 16 is essential.
- Expertise in regional and international tax compliance and regulations - corporate tax processes, VAT, withholding tax.
- Experience in monthly financial planning and reporting. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and dashboards.
- Strong knowledge ofinternal controls and audit procedures. Experience in reviewing financial operations, and minimizing risks through verification of payments, accounts, and financial documentation.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Hands-on cash flow management expertise.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
