Overview
One of our clients are looking for Finance Manager who is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the dairy FMCG business, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance. This role supports business growth by driving financial planning, margin management, and operational efficiency across production, supply chain, sales, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS / local regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closing, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions and assets.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
- Analyze financial performance versus budget and provide actionable insights.
- Support long-term financial planning and business strategy initiatives.
Cost Control & Margin Management
- Monitor and control production costs (raw milk, ingredients, packaging, labor, utilities).
- Analyze product costing, yield, wastage, and efficiency ratios.
- Support pricing strategies and profitability analysis by SKU, channel, and customer.
Working Capital & Cash Flow
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and short-term financing needs.
- Optimize working capital including inventory, receivables, and payables.
- Monitor credit risk and support collections for FMCG trade customers.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with tax, zakat/VAT, customs, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with food industry regulations affecting financial reporting.
Business Partnering
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Procurement teams to drive cost efficiency and operational improvements.
- Support investment appraisals, CAPEX analysis, and ROI evaluations.
- Provide financial input for expansion, new product launches, and distribution strategies.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee ERP and financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and process automation.
- Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within finance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and ensure skills development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's / CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred).
- 7–10 years of finance experience, with strong exposure to FMCG / Dairy / Food manufacturing.
- Proven experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT/Zakat, and local statutory requirements.
