Job purpose
To support senior mechanical technicians in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical systems within milling and feed plant operations. The role contributes to the reliable and safe operation of equipment by performing routine tasks under supervision and assisting during major maintenance activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist senior technicians in carrying out mechanical maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform routine inspections of plant machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Carry out basic lubrication, cleaning, and minor mechanical adjustments as assigned.
- Support overhaul activities and planned shutdown maintenance works.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, observations, and completed tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, quality, and operational standards at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
- Identify equipment abnormalities and promptly escalate complex or critical issues.
- Participate in technical training and skill development programs.
- Adhere to company maintenance procedures, policies, and compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Technical diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
