Position Overview
Classera is seeking an experienced and bilingual
Legal Manager to join its Legal team in New Cairo. This role is ideal for a highly capable legal professional with strong experience in commercial contracts, corporate legal matters, labor law, and regulatory compliance within a technology-driven environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business on legal and compliance matters, managing legal risk, and ensuring the company's operations remain aligned with applicable laws and regulations across Egypt and the wider MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate bilingual commercial agreements in Arabic and English, including SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, service agreements, SLAs, and NDAs.
- Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters, including governance, company structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Support labor and employment law matters in Egypt and coordinate on regional employment matters where needed.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and support practical, business-oriented decision-making.
- Support legal compliance across the company's operations, particularly within the SaaS, technology, and EdTech environment.
- Assist with matters related to data protection, intellectual property, and licensing.
- Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel locally and internationally when required.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business and recommend necessary actions.
- Support cross-border transactions, due diligence activities, and business expansion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); LLM or relevant legal certification is a plus.
- 7–10 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or managerial legal role.
- Strong experience in the technology sector is required, preferably within SaaS, IT, EdTech, or digital services.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and labor law in Egypt.
- Exposure to regional legal matters across the MENA region and experience handling cross-border legal work.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, with excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills in both languages.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Business-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.
Preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced technology or high-growth business environment.
- Exposure to international legal structures, regional operations, and external counsel management.
- Egypt-qualified lawyer is a plus.
