Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanical designs for projects in accordance with client requirements and applicable codes.
- Design and optimize cable reels (wooden and metal) for strength, durability, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Perform structural and load calculations for cable reels to ensure safe handling and transportation.
- Select appropriate materials for wooden and metal reels based on mechanical properties and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and quality of reel designs.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and technical submissions related to cable reels and associated components.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during production and assembly phases.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Stay updated with new technologies and industry best practices in cable reel design and mechanical systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 35 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in cable reel or industrial product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, material selection, and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with international standards for cable reels and packaging.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication abilities.
