Key Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises work within the Mechanical Maintenance Department to ensure all urgent and priority maintenance requests from the operating floor are served and accomplished within the best possible time frame to prevent any unscheduled interruption of production operation in a safe manner.
- Initiates Materials Requisitions within the Mechanical Maintenance Department for equipment, spare parts, materials & supplies, tools & instruments, outsourced services, or any other expenditure.
- Maintains availability of spare parts.
- Support production teams in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
- Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Improve equipment reliability through Preventive and Predictive, Corrective and Smart Maintenance programs.
- Develop, track, and analyze reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct inspections and testing of paper mill machinery and equipment.
- Analyze production processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Participate in new equipment installation and commissioning.
- Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and industry standards.
- Develops and implements maintenance management systems and procedures such as Lubrication systems, Preventive/Predictive maintenance program, Work order system, Job planning, Priority and backlog control, Maintenance information system, Performance measurement indices, and Material control in line with the company's IMS programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience in industrial automation is an advantage
