Mechanical Inspector
We are seeking an experienced professional in Mechanical inspector to join our growing team.
- Candidate must have at least 5-6 years experience in all mechanical trades as a consultant in building site inspections with minimum of 3-4 years in UAE.
- Experience in Industrial projects are mandatory.
- Diploma in mechanical engineering is acceptable, Engineering degree will be advantages.
- Appropriate mechanical code knowledge related to UAE is mandatory.
- Understanding of construction sequencing & methodology.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review Contractor's mechanical quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation and testing for all mechanical systems (HVAC, CHW system, Plumbing, and Firefighting).
- Interface with clients and contractor's staff to determine and verify project requirements.
- Check site conditions for suitability prior to construction.
- Carry out regular inspection to ensure work carried out is in accordance to approved submittals.
- Prepare and review inspection reports and site records.
- Review Contractors monthly payment certificates.
- Check that delivered material is in line with approved material submittal and specification.
- Carry out routine site visits to ensure contractors approach to work is in line with program.
- Ensure that the Contractor is using the latest revision of approved drawings and technical submittals.
- Raise SI ad NCR's for non-conformance work carried out at site.
- Observe site safety procedures. Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer and/or Project Safety Representative.
- Assist mechanical engineer in reviewing engineering submissions shop drawings, materials submittals, RFI etc.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
General Expectations:
- Basic computer knowledge of office & industry software (MS-office, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Basic understanding of other related building disciplines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver successfully.
- Proactively identify project risks and notify the team lead / RE promptly.
- Basic knowledge of all related Authorities standards and regulations
- Contribute to company initiatives such as incorporation of Technology and data into work and to define new working practices.
