Job Description:
- Design, deploy, and maintain functional and secure network infrastructure using various hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
- Develop and implement network architecture and security solutions that are scalable, reliable, and performant.
- Configure and manage network security systems, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Lead security incident response efforts, conducting investigations, containing threats, and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor network and security performance using advanced diagnostic tools to identify necessary adjustments and improvements.
- Provide expert, high-level support and troubleshooting for complex network and security issues.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all processes and systems adhere to established security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
- Mentor and train junior team members, foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
- Minimum of 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and security roles.
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN environments and firewall solutions.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc) and network segmentation strategies.
- Proficiency with a variety of network hardware and security products from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HSM, etc).
- Familiar with network automation and scripting (ansible, WSUS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skill
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff and management.
