Position:
The Planning Engineer (Architectural) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules related to architectural works, including finishes, facades, and fit-out activities. The role ensures alignment between project timelines, design requirements, and site execution through effective planning, progress tracking, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The Planning Engineer supports accurate reporting, risk identification, and timely project delivery across public and private sector developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules for architectural works.
- Develop and manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for architectural activities.
- Monitor and track progress of architectural works execution and finishing activities.
- Coordinate with architects, site engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Review architectural drawings and ensure proper sequencing of activities.
- Identify delays, risks, and critical activities, and implement mitigation and recovery plans.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, updates, and forecasts.
- Ensure that architectural works are executed in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
- Follow up on material delivery schedules related to architectural finishes.
- Support overall project planning and ensure compliance with deadlines

- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within government or semi-government projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project lifecycle.
- Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and project schedules.
- Familiarity with local regulations, construction practices, and project planning standards.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities in English and Arabic
