Job Summary
Wood is currently looking for a Planning Engineer to join our team in the UAE.
Responsibilities
Provide project planning and progress reporting service to assigned offshore projects in accordance with the Client rules through all stages of the project life cycle.
Ensure planning activities are properly aligned with scope and cost information to apply integrated project control approach.
Make sure that planning reporting is accurate and fully reflects status of the assigned projects.
Liaise closely with other project delivery areas: Project Management, Engineering & Design, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction.
Act as planning matter expert for other project stakeholders.
Provide projects input into Integrated Asset Plans.
Skills / Qualifications
A Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with minimum 8 years in execution of FEED / EPC contracts in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Must be experienced in the use of Project Planning and Costing Software / Applications.
Must have experience in Primavera Project Plans.
Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities, cost estimation, budgeting and cost control for all aspects of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of major oil / gas plants.
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
