Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the construction supervision team, including Engineers and Inspectors, by planning, directing, supervising, and controlling all technical and administrative aspects of the project. Participate in determining the required technical skills and staff hours to ensure successful project completion in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the Client for all construction supervision matters, including progress reporting, HSE, financial recommendations, quality control, and design modifications. Manage all correspondence with the Client, sub-consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Perform the duties of the Engineer's Representative under FIDIC and administer Remeasured Contracts, ensuring the Contractor's full compliance with contractual requirements. Review and respond to contractual correspondence related to variations, extension of time (EOT), claims, and other commercial matters, and provide recommendations. Support the QS/Contracts team on commercial issues as required.
- Review and prepare responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Clarification (RFCs), and other project submittals, including method statements and risk assessments (MS/RA), material approvals, contractor and subcontractor approvals, and shop drawings.
- Participate in the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of field engineering activities, including plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, construction methods, and systems.
- Review and monitor the performance of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved construction methodologies, applicable standards, and acceptable quality of materials and workmanship.
- Organize and attend weekly and monthly senior management meetings with the Client and Client representatives to review work packages, contractor performance, key achievements, risks, resource deployment, issues, and progress against contractual milestones.
- Provide technical expertise in one or more construction engineering disciplines and ensure that all inspections and tests are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Ensure that project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures are effectively implemented for supervision activities. Oversee snagging and de-snagging processes and ensure proper execution of rectification works in compliance with contract requirements and DAR quality standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of large-scale infrastructure, airport, and building projects.
- Strong knowledge of projects, and construction management practices.
- Proven leadership, communication, and coordination skills
