Job Summary:
We are seeking immediately available - a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead the design and delivery of interior environments across multi-residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, with a strong understanding of urban design contexts. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in interior architecture and design, with proficiency in BIM (Revit) workflows, space planning, FF&E specifications, and an exceptional eye for design detail. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and managing high-quality interior design solutions from concept through construction. We also need a Creative Interior Designer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of interior design concepts that are innovative, functional, and aligned with client and project goals.
- Manage interior design across residential towers, hospitality, offices, and mixed-use developments within urban masterplans.
- Coordinate seamlessly with architectural, MEP, structural, and landscape teams to ensure cohesive project integration.
- Develop detailed interior packages, including layouts, materials, finishes, lighting concepts, and custom joinery/millwork.
- Prepare and oversee BIM-based interior documentation (Revit), ensuring design intent is accurately translated into construction documents.
- Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, fixtures, and artwork, considering aesthetics, sustainability, and budget.
- Present design proposals to clients, consultants, and stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
- Mentor junior designers, ensuring high standards in documentation, detailing, and client engagement.
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and on-site installations to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of professional experience in interior design with a strong portfolio of completed multi-residential, commercial, and hospitality interiors.
- Proficient in BIM tools (Revit); knowledge of AutoCAD, Enscape, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Deep understanding of materiality, ergonomics, space planning, lighting design, and code compliance.
- Strong project management and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sustainable design and international codes (ADA, LEED, WELL, Estidama, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate with clients, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on projects in urban environments or master-planned communities.
- Knowledge of procurement, budgeting, and specification writing.
- Experience with high-end or luxury interiors is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an added asset.
