We are seeking an experienced Senior Irrigation Engineer to lead the design, planning, and optimization of irrigation systems for large-scale landscaping and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive efficient and sustainable irrigation solutions from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, subsurface) for complex projects
- Perform and review hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure zoning, and system optimization
- Oversee preparation of irrigation layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications
- Coordinate closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration
- Manage design coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and sustainability standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Support project teams during tendering, estimation, and value engineering stages
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, and suppliers to improve system efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems
- Identify risks and propose technical solutions to ensure timely project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field
- 8–12 years of experience in irrigation design, preferably within landscaping projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and RainCAD
- Proven experience in large-scale landscape or infrastructure projects
- Experience in GCC projects is a strong advantage
