Job Summary:
Highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with over 12 years of proven experience in the construction industry, specializing in building projects (residential and commercial). Demonstrates strong expertise in managing all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and handover. Skilled in leading engineering teams, ensuring quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities for building projects.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Lead and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and monitor project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and safety regulations.
- Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management.
- Perform quantity take-offs and review contractor invoices and project costs.
- Resolve on-site technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Enforce health and safety policies across construction sites.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction, particularly in building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare and review technical reports.
